YANKEE CLIPPER AWARD
Deanna and Alfred Randall have been very active in square dancing and also in their community. They have been dancing since the 1970 starting in Colorado where they met. They moved to New England in 1996, and joined the Hayloft Steppers and have been members of that club since then.
Together they were the club’s WACA representatives from 2002-2005. They were also the club’s representative to CASDC from 1997-2014. Together they have been like the backbone of Hayloft Steppers. Deanna served as treasurer from 1997-2017 and is the Sunshine person, among other duties she does. Alfred became a member of the Building Committee in 1997 and still serves on that committee. He has served as Vice President and as President, Like Deanna, he does many other duties.
They are members of the Grange for many years, mentors to others wishing to join the Grange. They are also very active in their church. Deanna prints the bulletin, helps with the food bank and various fund raisers. Al mows the lawn for the church, handles the recyclables, shovels doorways and paths and also helps with fund raisers.
They won the Best Dancers of the year in 2002 from WACA. Received the ROVER award in 2013. Alfred also received an award in 2016 from his church for all of his service.
