Round Dance Cuer
Jennie Frisella must be an individual with unlimited energy and drive. She not only raised four daughters, but earned a B.S. Degree in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island, dedicated twenty-five years to the Girl Scouts from member to leadership, spent sixteen years as visiting faculty to the Physical Education Department of the University of Rhode Island, owned and managed a Baskin-Robbins store for five years, was a secretary with the United States Air Force in Germany for two years, was the secretary and bookkeeper for Frisella Engineering, has been active in her church for at least forty-three years, sings in her church choir, became a Reiki Master in 2002, a Shamballa Master in 2004, and is now studying Shamanie practices.
This is only the beginning, Jennie was with the Business and Professional Womens organizations in Rhode Island from 1980 to 2002 serving in positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Scholarship Chairman, Fundraising Chairman and was named Woman of the Year in 1993. Jennie also volunteered at a womens shelter, and was the Mrs. Santa Claus in the Narragansett, RI area for many years.
Then there was Square and Round Dancing. Jennie attended Dick Legers Caller School in 1984 and has continued teaching, learning and leading ever since. A continuous member of Roundalab since 1986, Jennie presently serves on the Phase II and III Round of the Quarter Committee and works with the proofreading and cue sheet writing committee. Jennie has been a member of NECORTA since 1986 serving in positions of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Chairman of By Laws Revision Committee, and participating in clinics and seminars for the association.
